Before joining Energy and Technical Services, Geoff was based in the United Kingdom
for 16 years, where as the Senior Partner of a successful facilities management
consultancy practice he was instrumental in establishing a number of innovative
developments in the industry including national benchmarking criteria within the
healthcare industry.
After his return to his native New Zealand, Geoff joined Energy and Technical Services
as a Director, where he has continued to use his expertise in energy management
and benchmarking to establish the National Database for Energy Efficiency and Environmental
Sustainability.
As an Electrical Engineer Geoff also has substantial experience of energy and facilities
management including the design and project management of a number of schemes within
the construction industry. This has involved the design and specification of communications,
controls and electrical services for both refurbishment and greenfield developments.
Of particular interest has the implementation of smart metering, system interoperability
and how it interfaces with energy and environmental management. |

Malcolm Souness, BE Elec, ME Mgmt

Malcolm comes to Energy and Technical Services having established a niche energy
consultancy in the primary sector. With previous work including evaluation
of Stirling-cycle heat pumps, small-scale renewable generation, retailer metering
strategy (across Christchurch) and on-farm energy generation and management technologies
his experience is broad, with a focus on marginal technology opportunities.
Malcolm’;s area of responsibility is to review and initiate consultancy opportunities.
Prior to entering the energy sector, Malcolm cut his teeth in electronics manufacturing,
from production line to problem solving and development roles. The experience
gained across world-class manufacturing facilities provides a depth of understanding
to the evaluation of benefits, costs and risks often overlooked for technology investment
opportunities.
As an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, Malcolm has a comprehensive toolset for
evaluating the economics of
energy efficiency and generation opportunities.
Of particular interest is the detailed evaluation of operational changes to business
and processes for economic gain |

Robb Morison

Robb joined ETS in 2003 after many years in the motor trade to assume the client
services role. Robb provides a customer service focus and works to develop good
relations with clients. As a mechanical engineer, Robb also has a strong technical
background, which allows him to deal with some of the more demanding queries and
to relate to client problems.
Robb’s role ensures the invoices are created in e-Bench™ and manages the loading
of consumption data and reports. Robb also handles any enquiries about using e-Bench™
and manages general day-to-day issues.

Stephen Gallaghan, dipIt(SD), a+, network+
IT Support/Development

Stephen joined ETS at the beginning of 2007. He came to us after teaching a Network
Engineering course at international students and has experience in not only Networking
but also software development
Stephen's role is to ensure the smooth running of eBench™ and internal systems and
also develop tools to improve the customer’s experience
